PowerShell Scripting

During my time at Lowe's, I've amassed a large library of PowerShell scripts and a deep knowledge of PowerShell's usefulness in Identity and Access Management.

Recently, I was asked by my Director to compile a list of all users in Information Security that met specific criteria. Without my knowledge of PowerShell scripting, I would have likely spent several days manually reviewing user accounts to check for matches. With PowerShell, however, I was able to adapt one of my existing scripts to recursively search Active Directory for all user accounts in our CISO's chain and export a list in only a few minutes.

Python Scripting

I was still in college when a classmate sent me a bootleg copy of Automate the Boring Stuff with Python by Al Sweigart. The basic principles covered in that book really opened my eyes to the power of automation.

Many of my day-to-day tasks involve some combination of collecting data from one source, manipulating it, and sending it off to someone else. It wasn't long after starting my career that I realized the inefficiencies that could be overcome with a little bit of scripting knowledge. These days, I use Python to rapidly apply the same structure, filtering, and sorting I would otherwise apply to data sources by hand.

Dee Forester

Dee Forester is an endless runner game that takes a satirical view of deforestation. You play as a hapless lumberjack keen on removing as many trees as possible from the forest near your cabin while avoiding obstacles and fending off woodland creatures.

I've really enjoyed learning about shaders in Unity, which I'm using to give the game world a curved appearance.

Cube Sort 3D

Cube Sort 3D is a small mobile game about sorting colored blocks into matching boxes. I developed Cube Sort 3D using the Unity Game Engine.

LLAMA (Lowe's Local Account Management Assistant)

LLAMA was a tool I developed during my internship which helps the Lowe's Identity and Access Management team manage local account compliance. When I began my internship, the Lowe's IAM team was manually sorting, filtering, and comparing between different lists to identify local accounts that did not meet compliance standards.

With the help of LLAMA, this process has been nearly entirely automated and the time required to identify non-compliant accounts has been reduced to a fraction of what it used to be. When compared to the previous manual filtering, LLAMA is faster, easier to use, and provides greater insight through built-in PowerBI data visualization.

Wi-Fi Access Point Tracker

This is a web application designed to allow UNCC Campus officials to visualize campus Wi-Fi data more effectively. By mapping connection data, officials can better identify coverage gaps and high-density usage areas.

SharePoint Map App

An application that combines the Google Maps API with a SharePoint list to allow users to easily add new map markers without needing to enter any code. This empowers non-technical users to maintain geographic data within their intranet environment.
